Description: I. 'HITLER, WHAT NOW.' This issue compares Britain's increasing military strength with Germany's declining military strength, using much footage taken from earlier editions and stock shots. London firemen fight fires during the Blitz. King George VI and Queen Elizabeth visit a bomb damaged area. Stock shot footage shows a damaged London Transport double-decker bus that has fallen into a deep bomb crater (cf COI 943- LONDON CAN TAKE IT). King George VI and Queen Elizabeth visit a tank factory (Vickers ?) and inspect a storage area filled with completed Valentine tanks. Elements of the Home Guard march past King George VI at Hyde Park in London during the third anniversary of their formation (cf WPN 114). Stock shots show Royal Air Force (RAF) bombs dropping over a forested area of France during "softening up" operations prior to the Allied landings in Normandy. Brief footage shows the wrecked interior of the Lagebaracke (Wolfsschanze, Rastenburg in East Prussia) following the July 20 1944 assassination attempt on Adolf Hitler's life (bomb plot). Hitler is shown greeting Benito Mussolini at Rastenburg Railway Station (cf GWY 227). Hitler gives a guided tour of the Lagebaracke, pointing out bomb damage to Mussolini who is accompanied by Hermann W Goering (and Marshal Rodolfo Graziani ?). Hitler and Heinrich Himmler visit casualties of the bombing in a hospital ward at an undisclosed location. Brief footage shows elderly German Landwacht defence volunteers. Interior footage shows a United States (US) M4 Sherman tank production line. Russian female munitions workers manufacture anti-tank shells. Stock shot footage shows a snow-covered Royal Canadian Air Force (RCAF) flying training establishment near Ottawa. Aircrew throw snowballs near parked and chocked North American Harvard training aircraft (cf WPN 98).
