- Description: I. 'LONDON- YOUTH DISPLAY.' The Duchess of Kent reviews young delegates who have gathered at the Empire Stadium in Wembley (Middlesex) to celebrate the National Festival of Youth. Contingents from the National Association of Boy's Clubs and the National Association of Girl's Clubs march around the stadium. Spectators look on as contingents from horse riding clubs and the Amateur Fencing Association march past. Demonstrations of fencing, netball, weight-lifting and circuit-training follow. Royal Navy (RN) rating cadets from HMS Ganges (shore establishment) dance the hornpipe. Physical training displays are given by squads from the Royal Air Force (RAF) and Army Physical Training Corps. Youth delegates form themselves into a representation of the letters "U.N." (United Nations) for the benefit of spectators sitting high in the stadium stands. II. 'WIMBLEDON- TENNIS FINALS.' J Drobny (Czechoslovakia) plays Geoffrey Brown (Australia) in the Men's Singles Final at the All England Lawn Tennis Club (highlights). Dinny Pails (Australia) and M Menzies (Britain) play Budge Patty (US) and Pauline Betts (US) in the Women's Doubles (highlights). Yvon Petra (France) plays Geoffrey Brown (Australia) on centre court for the Men's Singles Final. III. 'SCOTLAND- ROYAL VISIT.' Large crowds of spectators cheer the arrival of the Royal Family in King's Park, Edinburgh. King George VI, Queen Elizabeth, Princess Margaret and Princess Elizabeth arrive by Humber Snipe tourers, later attending a drum-head service and parade held by veterans of the British Legion (Scotland). The Royal Standard flies at Holyrood House as invited guests watch Highland dancing. The Royal Family look on from the balcony of Holyrood House. IV. 'CAIRO- BRITISH EVACUATE CITADEL.' Panoramic footage shows The Citadel (al-Qalaa) in Cairo with the minarets of the Great Mosque of Mohammed Ali visible above its fortified walls. Members of the Highland Light Infantry march from The Citadel carrying Lee-Enfield No.IV .303-inch rifles during the formal hand over of the fortification to the Egyptians. Egyptian Army Chief of Staff Ferik Attallah Pasha arrives by car and is later shown saluting British General Officer Commanding General Sir Charles Allfrey. Ferik Attallah Pasha reviews the British guard of honour. The Union Flag is struck for the last time within the walls of the Citadel. V. 'VIENNA- RIDING ACADEMY.' Extended footage shows displays of "classic horsemanship" at the Vienna Spanish Riding Academy at Wels in Upper-Austria.
