Description: I. MCU of Brighton's domestic boiler - an engineering mechanic shuts off the fuel to the boiler.
II. MS of main boilers. The watch assembles - two engineering mechanics, second class, and a petty officer, leading engineer mechanic. Petty Officer looks through sight glass. MCU of furnace floor, as seen through the sight glass.
III. MS of sprayers - Petty Officer looks through the sight glass, and checks sprayer valves. Engineering mechanic loosens sprayer unit with a spanner, and changes from furnace fuel oil to diesel. Petty Officer rubs out chalked figures '1150' by sprayer, and chalks up '700' in their place. CU through register window - no action. CU of igniter, camera panning to the sprayer. Engineering mechanic changes sprayer in No 2 register, and changes chalk from '1150' to '2300'. Mechanic changes pipe from diesel to FFO, and opens FFO cross connection valve. MS of boiler with '1150' at No 1 register, and the rest at '2300'. Similar shot with '1150' on No 2, '700' on No 1, and the rest at '2300'. CUs of petty officer at the inspection window, with sprayer out and then with sprayer in.
