Description: I. Opening sequence showing HMS Eagle replenishing from the fleet supply ship HMS Retainer. Ammunition is transferred by jackstay. This sequence may have been shot on 4 November, after the initial strikes around Port Said, when Eagle withdrew to rendezvous with a fleet auxiliary operating in support of the task force south of Crete.
II. Air operations. HA over deck park of Wyverns and Sea Hawks. Rocket carrying Sea Hawk FGA.6s of 897 Squadron are launched for strikes against Egyptian airfields - only the port catapult is in use. Sea Venom FAW 21s of 893 Squadron are launched. HA sequence as a Whirlwind from HMS Albion lands on with a casualty, who is taken below on the forward lift to receive attention in the sickbay. HA.LSs over the flightdeck to fleet of support vessels at sea - crewmen line the side watching the ships - a Type 15 anti-submarine frigate passes right to left astern of Eagle. LS of the smoke pall hanging over Port Said, the town itself invisible over the horizon. Two stretcher-cases are brought up on the lift and flown off in one of Eagle's Whirlwinds.
