  • Description: Opening HA pan along beach to group of parked vehicles - jeeps, Bedford MWDs, Bedford OY and Fordson 3 tonners. Four LCT(5)s and two LCT(4)s in the background. MS as 1-1/2-ton 4x4 Chevrolet trucks reverse dryshod onto LCT(5) - 15-cwt Bedford MWD, 3-ton Fordson WOT6 and 30 cwt WOT3 embarked. Cut to LCTs approaching the landing beach amidst simulated shell fire from coastal battery. LCT(5) disembarks jeep - two Bedford MWDs cross right to left in the foreground. LCT(4) 599 unloads three MWDs and MWC water tanker. LCT(5) discharges MWD and MWC vehicles onto 1:200 beach - in the background a second vessel disembarks two 3-ton 4x4 Fordson trucks and a 30-cwt 4x2. Camera pans left over LCT(4) 599 to a LCT(5) and a jeep being towed out by a Bedford Giraffe recovery vehicle. Grant ARV standing by in the shallows. AEC Matador recovers stalled Bedford MWD. IHC TD-18 tractor recovers two Fordson 30-cwt trucks, pushing one out while towing the other. Grant ARV tows Bedford MWD ashore. Matador wades through the shallows, a man sitting dangling his legs over the lowered tailgate. Grant recovers Fordson WOT6 - in the background LCT(4) 597 disembarks a 15-cwt 4x2 Morris-Commercial with box body. Grant emerges onto the beach towing Fordson - the ARV has rubber vanes fitted to the tracks to provide increased traction in the water.
