Description: Opening sequence shows a coastal convoy of landing craft, including LCI(L)s, being escorted by motor minesweepers. The convoy enters Bizerta, passing ships sunk by the retreating Germans to block the Bizerta Canal. Two LCM(3)s make for shore. LCT(4) 616 and a companion unload supplies into waiting transport - men use roller conveyors to shift boxes of ammunition - a large crate is wheeled ashore on a trolley. Sequence showing damage in the town, including a car resting on its roof. A bulldozer driven by a GI starts clearance work. Aerial shot of Bizerta, showing LCTs in the harbour. LS to sunken vessel just offshore. CU of the stern of the capsized Transatlantique passenger-cargo ship Gouverneur Général de Gueydon and MS along starboard side as a man stands on the hull looking down between the decks of the island superstructure.
