The battleships of the covering force keep up a distant bombardment. MS to destroyer holding station off the cameraship's starboard bow - Tromp and other destroyers in quarter line in the background - all are firing. Pan along the coast to show effects of the bombardment, and onto the destroyer line - Tromp is now holding station off the starboard bow, the cruiser partially obscured by smoke from the cameraship's forward guns. LS to some heavily forested islands as destroyer steams past - the island is under bombardment and tracer from the cameraship adds to the effect. LS off destroyer in line astern of cameraship - she is firing to port. Pan over the harbour, heavily shrouded in smoke, shell splashes tearing up the water - funnel smoke swirls into frame. MLS aft down starboard side of the cameraship to the destroyer astern - both are keeping up a rapid fire to starboard, and dense clouds of gunsmoke are blown away towards the target - a signal hoist comes down halyard in the foreground. Final LS to the destroyer astern shows the force withdrawing at speed under cover of smoke.

Notes: Event: Operation Crimson was a carrier raid and bombardment of Sabang. The film shows the second phase of the operation. After a bombardment by heavy units, the Dutch cruiser Tromp with destroyers Quilliam (Captain Onslow), Quality and Quickmatch entered the harbour for a close range bombardment with gunfire and torpedoes.
Remarks: film quality is rather poor, but this action coverage is nevertheless very impressive
