Description: Duke of Gloucester inspects naval guard on quayside and talks with civilian dignitaries (port authority?) and merchant captain. He takes salute. Cut to Duke coming down gangway from vessel alongside (HMS Resource?) to enter GHQ Middle East Force staff car. Cut to HRH as he enters naval barracks - honour guard presents arms - he is introduced to base personnel and inspects ratings and WRNS drawn up on parade square. The assembled company is then led in a formal three cheers for the Duke. Scene then transfers to quarter-deck of Dido Class cruiser (HMS Cleopatra?) as HRH, accompanied by Admiral Vian, takes the salute at march round of crew. The Duke then goes onboard a destroyer (note 4-inch anti-aircraft, replacing after twin turrets) and a depot ship, where he greets officers before visiting submarine (P Class?) secured alongside. Crew cheer as HRH departs on Royal Barge.
