Description: I. Eastney AA Range. Series of shots of twin 40mm Bofors on STAAG mounting - crew man the gun, open fire, and train round while firing. Shell cases eject onto the beach.
II. Gibraltar. LS view of the Rock, approaching from seaward - camera boat pitching slightly. Cut to MLS, approaching Point and Lighthouse, and MS of the waterfront. Shots of two naval ratings in dress whites feeding the Barbary apes - Gibraltar harbour in background as the camera shoots down the Rock - the apes are very tame, climbing onto the men's shoulders, reaching into shirt pockets.
III. RNAS Ford. HA.MS from control tower as seven Sea Hawks taxi past towards marshalling point - Westland Dragonfly parked in the background. HA.MLS as a pair of Sea Hawks take off right to left - the camera pans to hold on the aircraft, but stops before they clear the ground - a second pair cross the frame as they take off. LS pan over mass formation of Sea Hawks awaiting take off - the last aircraft are still taxiing round to the marshalling point - four aircraft take off. LS-MS as formation of four aircraft passes overhead. Sea Hawk comes in to land. LA aerial shot of Sea Hawk WF 164 of 764 Squadron in level flight, right to left.
IV. LS of Fairey Gannet approaching for a landing at RNAS Ford - camera pans left to pick up a second aircraft on a lower approach, and holds as it passes - at the end of the sequence, the first aircraft re-enters the frame. Fire tender parked in the foreground.
