The naming ceremony is performed by Lady McGeoch, wife of Vice-Admiral Sir Ian McGeoch, Flag Officer Scotland and Northern Ireland. Jumpy sequence shot over the shoulders of press cameramen as the boat goes down the slip. The crowds of spectators slowly disperse after the launch. Conqueror lies out in midstream with her attendant tugs.
