II. MS of TBF Avenger, parked with engine idling. Walrus in background. Avenger's wings fold and are hooked into position by groundcrew. Parked Corsair-wings fold-up. III. Stock shot of ship's lookout with binoculars - he tracks to follow an object off screen. IV. MS as camera passes floating Mulberry buffer pontoon. V. MCU as men serve naval cannon, ca 1817 (see ADM 603). Gun fires and is laid right. General activity in foreground - casualty is carried away. CUs of trunnion and carriage tackle. Modern armaments factory workshop - scenes showing preparation of 4-inch gun barrel, and lowering of roller race on to roller path. Twin 4-inch turret on test bed is traversed and the guns depressed and elevated by remote control. VI. Invasion preparation. Forward 3/4 MS of single LCT(3) at sea and craft in line ahead. MS profiles as LCT(4)s and Fairmile 'C' ML pass right to left across screen past buoy - last sequence is very dark and the craft mere silhouettes.
