Description: Reel One. Sloop-rigged cutter Forth is sailed around loch with crew of sea cadets and instructors - CUs of cadets at tiller and taking in mainsail. On land a cadet practices Morse with Aldis lamp. HA.LS over loch from cadet camp - the depot vessel HMS Cyclops is at anchor. HA.MS of cadets on conning tower of training submarine Otway (N.51) alongside Cyclops - Captain and Commodore (2nd Class) look on as cadets man 4-inch. gun. Commodore goes down forward deck hatch followed by queue of cadets. Sea cadets march through town led by marine band - they pass along the seafront where (?) Rear Admiral G O Stephenson takes the salute.
Reel Two. Sailing boats perform various evolutions - LCTs in XLS background. Reveille - cadets rush from tents. Rear Admiral Stephenson shakes hands with instructional officers. End sequence shows cadets practising in pulling a cutter - LCP(L) is alongside with fishing boats in the harbour.
