- Film Number: ADM 951
- Other titles: INVASION EQUIPMENT TRIALS [Allocated Series Title]
- Summary: Trial of the Morris conveyor, a means of assisting in the discharge of vessels to a quay where damage prevents ships lying alongside.
- Description: First sequence shows a conveyor set up to span the distance between a pontoon and the shore - the stores-ship off-loads cargo onto the pontoon, where cases are removed from the cargo nets and placed on the conveyor belt, which transfers them to shore and waiting GS trucks (Commer 4x2 3 tonners and Bedford OY). End MS sequence shows two conveyors assembled in series to enable ships to be worked on neap tides - various CUs of the drive mechanism, men loading the moving belt with practice cans and boxes marked for 4.2 in mortar ammunition, and the transfer of stores to trucks along the roller conveyor.
