Description: I. CUs of men storing a submarine. Wooden crates are moved by human chain and roller conveyor. Crates are lashed, and lowered on double block and tackle to between decks. Roller conveyor shifts cardboard boxes (24 x A2-1/2 Cans - Canned Peas - Unicream Ltd).
II. Maintenance work on submarine, HMS Scythian (S.137), while in dry dock. Rating with hose plays fresh water onto the hull. Shots of crewmen scrubbing the hull, scraping, greasing and painting.
III. Miscellaneous: MS off the port bow of a T Class submarine secured alongside; CU as men take up the wooden baulks which supported the gangway to a submarine while alongside; MS to front of bridge fins of two submarines alongside - HMS Alaric (S.41) and S Class vessel (HMS Seraph ?); MLS off the port bow of HMS Aeneas (S.27) as she comes into dock - HMS Foudroyant in the background.
