- Summary: HMS Ark Royal at the International Naval Review for the 350th anniversary of the founding of Virginia.
- Description: RM band plays on Pier Five in Norfolk Navy Yard, Norfolk, Virginia, where HMS Ark Royal is alongside. On the other side of the quay lies the 60,000-ton carrier, USS Saratoga, and the Spanish Navy's training ship, the four-masted schooner Juan Sebastian de Elcano. Officers visit Ark Royal. Cut to sequence showing men at liberty in 'The Mariners' Museum' at Newport News - men from Ark Royal look at cannons, a photograph of a statue to Leif Ericsson. Men look at preserved examples of public stocks, pleasant suburbs, a windmill, or merely enjoy the sun in the Jamestown Festival Park. Among other attractions are a recreated Indian village, replicas of the settlers first ships, Susan Constant, Discovery and Godspeed, and a reproduction Seventeenth Century settlement. Cut back to the International Naval Review and views from Ark Royal of Saratoga lying out in the roads with the French cruiser De Grasse and two Iowa Class battleships. There is a massed flypast - McDonnell Demons, Douglas Skyrays, Sabres, Skyhawks, Skyraiders, Skywarriors.
