Description: A floating object attracts the attention of a Royal Air Force Varsity, which goes in to investigate, and discovers an accident; the position is radioed to shore, where a ground crew prepares an air-sea rescue helicopter for its mission. The helicopter in flight: on reaching the scene of the accident it reduces height and begins a systematic search of the sea. Survivor and rescuer are lifted aboard and the helicopter sets off back; hospital, police and fire brigade have been called. The helicopter lands in the hospital grounds. The film concludes by suggesting that "the whole plan is based on automatic action".
