Description: I. HMS Sheffield at Boston, Massachusetts, 9th September 1954. She is greeted by RCAF Pipe Band, which marches down and plays alongside. Senior Commissioned Gunner (G) R Edwards of Southsea shows points of interest on the forecastle and Able Seaman D C Paton of Glasgow pipes on the flag deck. (The RCAF Pipe Band were entertained on board by the Sheffield's RM band.)
II. HMS Sheffield visits New York on 19th September 1954: as she approaches Manhattan, she fires 21-gun salute. Party is held on board for 300 underprivileged New York children invited by the British Consul General.
