Description: A commissioning service is held in a hangar at RNAS Yeovilton - a guard of honour is inspected by Vice-Admiral Janvrin, Flag Officer Naval Air Command. Sequence showing an emergency landing by a Yeovilton-based Sea Venom which approaches without starboard mainwheel lowered and the rest of the undercarriage only partially extended - it makes a successful arrested landing on a foam-covered landing strip. Further shots of the ceremony and guests. Pilot and observer board Phantom 003, and the centreline drop tank is topped up. Pilot and observer in 002. A Fairey Swordfish flies past carrying a torpedo, part of the air display. Eight Phantoms fly past in formation, closely followed by six Sea Vixens. Formation of three Phantoms, one peeling off during the fly past. Phantom 002 taxies to a halt towing its drag chute. The Commissioning cake is brought out and cut by two ladies with the assistance of the pilot of Phantom 003 - presumably the Squadron Leader. Crews of Phantoms 002, 003 and 004 pose as a group in front of their parked aircraft. Vice-Admiral Janvrin chats with the Squadron Leader.
