Sequence showing a Vixen taking off, fully armed: pilot dons mask and signals "start up and away chocks"; chockman removes chock; aircraft taxies away to dispersal, passing a Gannet, Heron and Venoms; LS as Vixen XJ 601 takes off and climbs steeply. III. Sea Vixen cockpit. CUs of the pilot's attack sight - the pilot adjusts the wing span setting from 20 to 100. IV. LA.CU of a Sea Vixen, parked nose on to the camera, with pylons empty, with four pods of 2-inch rockets, and then with four clusters of 3-inch rockets. CUs of 2-inch and 3-inch rockets on the starboard wing. V. Firestreak air-to-air missile. Slow MCU track from the tail to the nose of the missile. CU of infra-red sensor in the nose (windows of the nose cone are transparent) - sensor begins to scan.
