Description: I. HMS Diamond (D.35) exercises her guns at sea. MS and CU sequence showing after 4.5-inch Mk VI turret and 40/60 Mk V firing over the starboard quarter.
II. Submarine survivors. Various CUs of single survivor in immersion equipment with stole inflated - he dons gloves, tops up suit from gas bottle, etc. Group of survivors swim around submarine marker buoy in a slight sea - rescue ship in sight on the horizon. Survivor surfaces from the sunken submarine. MLS pan over a group of survivors bobbing about the buoy - a lieutenant surfaces (without an immersion suit), and swims towards the group. Final MS off the port beam of HMS Contest (D.48) as her motor boat and whaler pick up survivors from around the marker buoy.
