Description: I. 'Dawn Attack by Torpedo Plane' (scratched on leader). Night firing sequence. Tracers. Gun flash illuminates Fairmile D motor torpedo boat which opens up with Oerlikons. Flares are fired. Gunflash illuminates twin 20mm position on the cameraship, a C Class AA cruiser.
II. Daylight. LS pan over convoy of merchantmen and LSTs. Smoke floats burn on the water. Two LSI(L)s are in line astern, heeling to port in the wind-driven sea. MS of Cunard White Star troopship.
III. Entry into Algiers. CUs as cameraship secures alongside a merchantman carrying a deck cargo of P-38s - the Ned. Indische. tanker Agatha lies behind the cargo ship. Moored off cameraship's starboard bow is a torpedoed liberty ship, lightened to bring more of the damaged hull above the waterline. MS as a Canadian Pacific 'Duchess' liner enters port. SS Ormonde is guided in by tugs - a River Class frigate lies in the foreground - CUs as Ormonde passes right to left, troops waving to the camera.
IV. LA shots of the troopships Rangatiri (?) and Ormonde alongside. General disembarkation scenes - woman wearing YMCA flash sits upon piled kitbags - troops carry kit down gangways and sit waiting for orders - Salvationists come ashore - stores are piled up on the quayside - troops are formed up and marched away.
