Summary: King George VI visits British and United States naval forces at Algiers on the forth day of his North African tour.
Description: HM arrives in a staff car and is greeted by Admiral Cunningham. The King talks with the US Commander in Chief, Vice-Admiral Hewitt and meets the other senior US Naval officers. The usual inspections follow - WRNS, RN and USN officers and men, RM honour guard - all to the accompaniment of a RM band. The King then goes onboard USS Savannah (42), and HMS Howe. The cameraman is onboard the battleship and records piping the side, honour guard, inspection of divisions, and cheering ship.
