Summary: Test film of Trial XO 459/66 - test firings of two Seaslug missiles by HMS London. No apparent target.
Description: Opening title provides technical information relevant to the test. LS from shore to HMS London (D.16). She fires a Seaslug and the camera pans to follow the missile's flight, through booster separation and on until it is lost in the cloud cover. A second firing is virtually a repeat of the first, but cloud conditions are better and the missile is still in view at the end of the reel. Both sequences were shot with a 36-inch telephoto lens.
