Film Number:ADM 1042
Other titles:INVASION EQUIPMENT TRIALS [Allocated Series Title]
Description: I. Reel One. Albion tank transporter carrying 30x9 storage tank reverses onto a beached LCT and then disembarks.
II. Tractor hauls storage tank up an earthen ramp onto a civilian (Pickfords) Bedford truck and timber trailer. Cut to reception site in a grassy field, where an unloading ramp is under construction. Trailer drives up and the tank is rolled down the ramp. Reel Two. A tractor, protected by a fender, reverses across the field, rolling the tank across the ground. Sequence shows the tractor driver manoeuvring the tank into a prepared bay. Cut to a second tank as the tractor rolls it into a shallow trench, and then rotates it, so that the inspection cover is uppermost. The tank is then connected up and protected with earth and sandbags. Final sequence records an unsuccessful attempt by the work crew to push the empty tank up a gentle slope, unaided by the tractor.
