- Description: MS aft on cameraship, HMS Jervis, to X turret, trained over the port bow - turret fires repeatedly - a member of the gun crew emerges from behind the shield to pick up a cartridge from amongst the ready use ammunition lying on deck. LS of a bombarding destroyer - a LCT(R) lies directly behind the ship, firing successive salvoes - a smoke pall gathers. LS pan over the coast - obscured by smoke from a cameraship. MLS and MS of a U Class destroyer - it fires a broadside. LS to shell splashes from coastal guns. Various shots of destroyers of the 25th Flotilla at their bombardment positions - single-funnel BYMS ("British Yard Mine Sweeper") passes in the foreground. XLS of aircraft formations. LSs of LCG(L)(3) (?) underway, and LCG(L)s and LCT(R)s firing. US LCT 264, crowded with trucks, passes HMS Ulysses. MS of LCA 1005 (marked EA-9, from Empire Arquebus ?) - she is making heavy weather. MS as the cameraship crosses the bows of the stationary HMS Ulysses. MS of LCA 348 underway. MLS broad on the port bow of HMS Undine (R.42), panning left over a coastline obscured by smoke. LS of a LCG(L)(3) firing. MS to HMS Urania and a companion. Various shots of LCT(R) and bombarding destroyers, and LCTs (3s and 4s) forming up and underway. LS pan over invasion fleet - LCTs, LST, destroyers, the Dutch gunboat Flores. Cut to MLS off the port beam of LCI(L) underway, panning right to a U Class destroyer - HMS Albrighton (L.12), LSH(S) to G.3, crosses left to right in the foreground, accompanied by a Fairmile D ML on her starboard quarter. MCU as LCT(4) 647 passes at speed. Final LS pan over the coast - there is an explosion on shore (?) - a destroyer lies close inshore (emulsion breaking up in this end shot). there is an explosion on shore (?).
