Summary: An incomplete copy of a film detailing the work of the Prisoners of War department of the Red Cross.
Description: The film shows how, following enquiries from Mrs Tommy Atkins, a file and extensive card index entries are built up concerning the welfare of Tommy Atkins, now a PoW in Germany. The film then goes on to show how next of kin parcels (allowed at 3 monthly intervals) are received at the packing centre and prepared for dispatch. Some of the parcel packers are interviewed and a montage of stills show life in the camps to illustrate how much comforts from home are appreciated.
