- Description: I. MLSs as ships of Force K bombard - HMS Argonaut, HMS Ajax and HMS Emerald with escorting destroyers of 25th Flotilla. II. MS as Austin K3 truck drives along the beach past LCM(3) and LCTs - mobile crane in the background. LCT(3) 451, with LCVP alongside, unloads 3-ton Austin K5 trucks - a Scammell Pioneer passes, towing a damaged Bedford QL and CMP dump-truck. Nearby, LCT(6) 535 also unloads Austin K5s. DUKW of a RASC GT Company comes ashore - sunken LCM(1) in the background. MS of a man semaphoring from the beach - he stands behind an abandoned LCA - LCT 7051 and 428 in the background. III. LS pan over anchorage from Jervis. Flower Class corvette passes (HMS Loosestrife ?) - LCR and HMS Bulolo in the background. MSs of approaching Bangor Class minesweeper and Military Class naval trawler (HMS Guardsman ?). XLS of formations of aircraft. MS off the starboard quarter of LCF(4) 19 underway. LS of a group of LCT(5)s. IV. LSs of a destroyer dropping depth charges. V. MSs along the shoreline. A mobile crane is stuck in the sand. Lorries and a bulldozer are parked on the beach. REME Scammell wrecker, followed by a despatch rider, pass a beached LCM(3) - two Austin K5s pass in the opposite direction. VI. MS off the starboard beam of HMS Rodney steaming at slow speed ahead - some of the cameraship's crew stand by a ready-use ammunition locker, watching her progress. VII. MS of LCT(4) 1027 underway with a Fairmile B holding station on her starboard quarter - Hunt Type III destroyer escort and merchantmen in the background. MCU of the port bow of LCT(4) 1024 (Bar Class boom defence vessel in background), and pan to the bridge - she is making heavy weather.
