Description: I. LCT(5) 2453 disembarks Sherman for 3 ft wade.
II. COEW, DTD 'AQUATOW' Personnel Suit. Man on beach models the suit, and demonstrates the position he will assume during the tow through the water. LCT 340 disembarks Sherman into 6 ft of water in moderate surf conditions. Man in Aquatow suit, holding a tow rope, walks down the vehicle ramp to be towed off - he regains his footing in the shallows. D-4 tractor stands by in the background.
III. Matilda Baron IIIA, T.19044, comes ashore and blows off fabric covers on auxiliary engines, before starting flail and moving up the beach.
IV. Churchill IV, 'Invincible', disembarks from LST and wades ashore through a gap in the beach defences - spectators crowd the LST's focsle, and one man stands on a section of VLR secured alongside the port bow. A small crowd watch the trial from the beach and seafront - Gloucester and Royal Hotels in the background.
V. LCT 340 disembarks Sherman for 6 ft wade - motor pinnace WDH 201 and cutter in the background.
