Summary: Unedited scenes showing naval "saboteurs" in Malta.
Description: I. Miscellaneous underwater shots of "saboteurs" (without mines): one swims up to the surface to look about, using a floating orange crate as cover; divers rendezvous by a mooring cable and, having orientated themselves, swim off; saboteur swims away from a ship.
II. Surface scenes: saboteurs surface around a buoy - they reconnoitre and then submerge; diver porpoises in a MSC (motor submersible canoe); saboteur swims just below the surface; a group of three divers on the surface - they submerge.
III. Underwater sequence as diver attaches a clamp mine to the blade of a ship's propeller; RN diver works loose a torpedo-like clamp mine which has been attached to ship's bilge keel - he tugs on an attached line, and the mine is hauled up to the surface. Similar sequence shows a diver searching the bottom of the ship to discover a cylindrical clamp mine on the bilge keel - he obtains a line from a fleet clearance launch secured alongside the ship, and attaches it to the mine before attempting to pull it free from the keel.
