Description: I. A DUKW crosses a river and pulls up to a quay on the camera bank. A Lieutenant Commander alights.
II. General shots of St Ives, Cornwall (harbour and town along harbour wall) are followed by shots of commandos preparing and manning canoes and life-rafts. They leave the shore and work their way through the moored boats in the harbour.
III. In a swimming-pool in Holland. Commandos run to the water and play in the pool (splashing etc).
IV. In St Ives bay, commandos are shown sailing the following: whalers (under motor and rowed through surf); four-oared boat; two-man kayak, (it capsizes); double kayak under sail; a Carley raft paddled by one man; a Carley raft paddled by five men; and a speed boat.
