Film Number:ADM 2562-1
Other titles:
Summary: The advantages of the two-inch rocket, fired in groups of about 12, over conventional AA guns.
Description: During a (badly edited) fictional night attack on a convoy, an attacking plane is shot down by rockets from a cargo ship rather than the very heavy concentration of gunfire that is also being produced. On shore a naval CPO explains the advantages of the rocket to an assortment of naval and merchant officers and men. These are: (1) large explosive charge; (2) no recoil; (3) no below the decks storage; (4) cheap to make; (5) several are fired at once. this advantage is explained by an amusing cartoon of duck shooting, first with a rifle, then with a shotgun.
