Summary: RN officer train Malaysian police in elementary seamanship and the management of small patrol boats.
Description: Sequence shot from the launch AMDB 104 steaming at speed with AMDB 103 and 105. Onboard the cameraship a RN Lieutenant talks with an officer from Singapore (?). LSs from the shore as the three launches pass by at speed, and generally perform for the camera. Back at base, the launches secure alongside a jetty, and the two officers have further discussion. CU of a notice labelled LATEHAN (ie Practice), then cut to scene onboard AMDB 103 - a man throws two lifebelts into the water and the boat practises recovering them. The RN Lieutenant demonstrates the proper coiling of a light heaving line, then watches one of the trainees try. General scenes of the trainees being instructed in ropework and the recovery of lifebelts. The three boats steam in line ahead back to base. Aerial as the three launches are put through their paces.
