Description: Lieutenant Pavlichenko is introduced to and talks with the crew of a Stirling bomber (OJ*C serial number W7566) of 149 Squadron. All are wearing flying kit. She is seen emerging from a station building followed by Lieutenant Pchelintsev. The ground crew of Spitfire Mk IX BS387 of 122 Squadron are brought to attention and introduced. Pchelintsev climbs into the cockpit. Pavlichenko looks on as the Station Commander, Group Captain Lott points out items of interest. Pchelintsev then fires the aircraft's guns into the butts. The group, which includes Lieutenants Pavlichenko and Pchelintsev, Captain Diky and, in civilian clothes Partisan Krasavchenko watch a flying display by a Spitfire. The party are then shown round the inside and exterior of the Stirling (note the 32 bomb symbols around the serial number). In an interior shot Lieutenant Pavlichenko delivers a speech, look at target photos and sign the visitor's book. The remainder of the reel shows scenes of the party's arrival and tour around the base including the Link Trainer room.
