Summary: The Vickers Pisces submersible undergoes trials in the harbour at Portland.
Description: After preparation, the Pisces vessel is lowered into the water using the A-frame on board its parent vessel the Vickers Venturer. Once lowered into the water and semi-submerged, a frogman climbs on board the deck and unhooks the cables attaching the craft to the A-frame. Pisces is towed out into the harbour, the frogman sitting on the conning tower; he is very relaxed. A small group of men in an inflatable boat pick up a crewman from the Venturer and head out to Pisces. Those on board the Pisces get out and climb into the boat. Views of Pisces back on board Venturer; close-ups include the underside (where the observation windows are located). Various adjustments and measurements are made. A second (unmanned) submersible is also seen being lowered into the water, then raised again.
