(ii) Bridge shots, followed by interview sequence with Captain Bob Cooling, the captain of HMS Montrose and head of 6th Frigate Squadron; he talks about his job and the leadership qualities needed. (iii) Further sections of interview with Commodore Chris Parry (poor quality - voice difficult to hear because of the sound of the waves). (Tape 4) Ops room sequence - simulated attack by AM39 air-launched Exocet missile. Commodore Chris Parry is present, and explains the background to a simulated situation in which an unidentified submarine approaches which doesn't know the rules of engagement, causing conflict between Captain and subordinate: decisions are made according to the evolving tactical situation.
