Description: I. Various disconnected sequences showing Admiral Ramsay, Commander Allied Naval Expeditionary force, on tour of inspection. Rear-Admiral Talbot accompanies Ramsay onboard Largs, Force S HQ ship.
II. Largs lies alongside at Portsmouth with LCI(L)s and MLs. Various craft pass the moored vessels - FNFL La Combattante, a LCP(L), (?) BYMS ("British Yard Mine Sweeper") , LCT(4) 898, and an HDML.
III. RML 516 approaches Largs and Churchill, Smuts, Bevin, and Admiral Little, C-in-C Portsmouth, come onboard to inspect.

V. Sword Beach. Rhino ferry laden with trucks heads for the shore, a LST unloads directly onto the beach. Tug manoeuvres blockship 529 into position as part of Gooseberry 5. Various shots of burning fuel/ammunition dump at Ouistreham hit by German artillery - successive explosions throw out burning fragments, and a black smoke pall rises above the site. CMP 3-ton trucks drive from LST 415 onto a waiting Rhino - LST 162 and LCT(5) 2011 in the background.
