Description: Ratings of HMS Falcon clean an Avenger in preparation for air display. Rockets are led under the wing of an Attacker; cleaning of Attacker and Short Sturgeon. Maltese visitors study Avenger; Sea Hornet, Sea Hawk, Firefly. Visitors make their way along perimeter track, examining aircraft and (at the static display) photographs. WRENs stationed at HMS Falcon. Monks inspect aircraft, children look at helicopter. Interest in pilotless target aircraft. Shots of crowd. The air display: massed take-off by Sea Hawks of 806 Squadron RN; air/sea rescue demonstration by helicopters of 728 Squadron RN; Helicopter ballet by 845 Squadron RN; Neptune aircraft of US Navy (based at Hal Far) take off. Shot of official enclosure. Dragonflies of 728 Squadron give air/sea rescue demonstration and fly low over crowd. More shots of helicopter ballet. Helicopter comes down on to camera and raises cameraman by winch; cameraman continues to take shots of crowd and airfield.
