Description: I. Miscellaneous aerial shots of Canberras and Sea Hawks. LSs of aircraft flying in formation. View from Sea Hawk crossing the coast to come in for a landing. LS-MS looking towards harbour mouth - Sea Hawk flies out to sea, passing over the camera. Aerial MS sequence showing four Sea Hawks in level flight above cloud layer. LA.LS to a single Canberra, flying away from camera, leaving a vapour trail - at the end of the sequence, the camera aircraft closes and passes beneath the Canberra. View of cloud layer from aircraft - the horizon tilts as the aircraft banks left, and then levels again. Sequence showing a single Sea Hawk of 898 Squadron in level flight left to right.
II. LA.MS of twin 4.5-inch turret on a Daring Class destroyer as it trains round and elevates - one gun fires a round.
III. Mediterranean exercise. Camera helicopter closes on the starboard quarter of HMS Glasgow to hover over the quarter deck - she is steaming at speed in a calm sea, firing AA over the beam. LS of a Colony Class cruiser (HMS Ceylon ?), and pan to French Gloire Class cruiser, HMS Eagle, and accompanying destroyers.
IV. MS from helicopter to a Daring Class destroyer (Daring or Diana) underway. MCU of the port side of the bridge, the camera pulling back to show B turret and lattice, and then the whole of the forepart of the ship. Cut to camera situated inboard, and shots of the bridge and forward turrets - the guns train over the starboard beam, elevate, and fire by single barrels. LA.CU of nacelle on 4.5-inch DCT - it trains skywards. MS of DCT as it scans upwards and revolves. Final CU of the DCT framework - DCT trains to starboard, nacelle coming into frame and scanning skywards.
