  • Description: I. Various shots showing HMS Venus (F.50) underway, steaming right to left. She flashes a signal. In final shot, the twin 4-inch DP is trained over the port beam. II. Crewmen jump into the sea, and swim towards an inflatable liferaft, thrown overboard from the camera vessel. They are wearing lifejackets over anti-flash gear. Men in liferaft help others to climb onboard. Final sequence shows a 'dead man' floating amidst debris - he sinks below the surface, but revives at the end of the shot and swims off.
