Description: HRH King Hussein of Jordan arrives onboard HMS Glasgow for a short visit to watch manoeuvres at sea. He is greeted by Admiral Mountbatten who introduces the Captain and Commander. After inspecting the Royal Guard of Honour, King Hussein tours ship including mess decks, boatdeck and bridge. (NB no interior shots.) HRH enters 6-inch gun turret with Admiral Mountbatten and stays while they are fired, then retires to bridge to watch guns firing again (this sequence shot from HMS Surprise). HRH transfers from Glasgow to Surprise by jackstay, bidding farewell to Admiral Mountbatten and taking the salute before leaving.
