Description: (Part 1) (a) Visit to Grand Turk Island: cable parties prepare to enter harbour, pilot comes on board. Shot from bridge. Quartermaster sounds by hand lead line. Port anchor goes - cable running out. Commissioner arrives on board to call on Captain; 15-gun salute as he leaves. (b) Welcome ceremony ashore on Grand Turk Island: Marines land, ratings form up, parade steps off at sea front and marches up. Platoons arrive at square; Commissioner and Captain arrive. Shots of parade and native spectators. (c) Arrival at Kingston - Governor's call: Governor comes on board, inspects Guard and goes below, 17-gun salute as he leaves; natives on jetty sell fruit to ratings; Chief Minister departs from ship. (d) Formal parade of welcome at Victoria Square - receiving Freedom of City: Jamaican band and crowds wait for ceremony to commence, City Police Band arrives; Captain arrives in jeep followed by RN Band and ratings, is welcomed by Governor and gives speech from dais; seen with key to city. Platoons march in rear. Marines beat retreat.
