  • Description: I. HA pan over Mulberry B - blockship line, pierheads, merchantmen, HMS Despatch with LBV alongside, caissons and tugs, etc. Sea calm. II. MS of AA No 4 Mk V radar installation shrouded in camouflage netting - it trains left to face camera - radar aerial is tilted cheese reflector with wire mesh reflector and aerial for IFF Mk III mounted on top. Interior of GL.II cabin trailer - MCU of two operators, reporter-plotter, and technical operator. MS of camouflaged operations truck - man at plot marks overlay. MS of aerial mast for LWS (?), and pan over fields around clifftop radar station (?) abandoned by the Germans - lieutenant, RNR, and a companion walk along the edge of a fenced-off minefield, which is still sign-posted in German. III. Various medium shots taken by cameras from small craft passing along the outside of the bombardon barrier off Arromanches - merchantmen, Phoenix caissons, boom defence vessel, are visible inside the breakwater. Sea is choppy, and waves breaking against the bombardons send up plumes of spray. MCU as camera craft passes through the bombardon line. MCU of bombardon 'Selma'. Surface conditions improve markedly once inside the line of the breakwater.
