The paratroopers open their canopies and paraglide down to land on a (fairly crowded) beach.
II. Landing craft, small craft and landing craft in Dili harbour. Shots on board landing craft under sail - soldiers in full kit and armoured personnel carriers are being transported. General views of harbour. helicopters fly over church near the waterfront. Landing craft comes ashore - vehicles and troops disembark as local people watch. Shot of distant shoreline across the bay - a fire is burning. Shots on board landing craft as she approaches and docks with "HMAS Tobruk" - transport is driven from "Tobruk's" hold directly onto the landing craft. On board "Tobruk", a crane is used to load eight wheeled personnel carriers into a landing ship.
