Description: Various ships at sea in heavy swells. A small motor launch containing officers is launched near the coast. On board a salvage vessel, a one-man submersible is lowered. Views of the sea bed. Meanwhile, a large crane is used to fish for debris. The submersible is reeled up and the pilot gets out. A remote camera is lowered. Debris on deck. A small boat, Caterina, comes alongside. A large number of people watch as a diver is lowered. Large chunks of wreckage are hauled aboard.
