Title:INSPECTION OF RINGWAY AND TATTON PARK PARACHUTE SCHOOL [Allocated Title]
Film Number:ARY 22-2
Other titles:
Summary: Staff officers inspects a parachute training school.
Description: Two instructors are inspected by Air Marshal Arthur Barratt and Lieutenant-General Sir Bernard Paget (C-in-C Home Forces). They are studied in close up watching an activity. There is a good shot of troops dropping through the floor of an Armstrong Whitworth Whitley aircraft and of the Whitleys' shadows on the ground below. An 'Airborne' chaplain and Lieutenant watch the proceedings. A Whitley drops four 'chutes into the lake and a boat retrieves the personnel from the water. After several good shots of the captive balloon being raised and lowered, including a particularly nice evening shot, more hangar exercises are seen. The reel ends with close ups of the parachute instructors' and the airborne badge, also of 'chutes descending in isolation and from five Whitleys.
