Description: I. Men from the 1st Battalion South Lancashire and 2nd Battalion East Yorkshire Regiments and Royal Navy Beach Group personnel in A7 Camp near Portsmouth: they play table-tennis and 'housey-housey', and attend a church parade.
II. Troops from No 5 Beach Group and the East Yorkshire Regiment board HMS Glenearn from a lighter. Infantrymen board the LSI(L)'s LCAs watched by the Glenearn's' commander, Captain Hutcheson; operating the LCA davits and crewing the LCAs are Royal Navy and Royal Marine personnel. 'Empire' class LSI(L)s and other invasion craft lie moored in the Solent off the Isle of Wight under a barrage balloon umbrella. Royal Marines Commando Obstruction Clearance Unit divers prepare for a dive on board Glenearn.
III. Divers come ashore near Gosport(?) after leaving their LCA. The cameraman examines the heavily-armed Glenearn. Rear-Admiral Talbot, Force 'S' Commander, Major-General Rennie and Captain Hutcheson are seen on Glenearn. A platoon of 1st Battalion the South Lancashire Regiment does physical training. Royal Marines divers make another sortie.
Beach Group Pioneers (292nd Company) disembark from the Glenearn into an LCT and land with assault infantry on a beach near Littlehampton. The East Yorkshires' Commanding Officer briefs his company commanders. The Glenearn's' Oerlikon and 2-pounder pom-pom anti-aircraft gunners and Hutcheson are seen on duty.
