Description: I. Lord Lovat addresses commandos belonging to 1st Special Service Brigade before they leave their sealed transit camp to board their invasion craft. At Warsash near the mouth of the Hamble River, LCI(S)s carrying men belonging to No 6 Commando (?) and all their equipment prepare to leave harbour and make for the Solent. Long queues of commandos file along a wooden quay, some wheeling bicycles and Welbike miniature motorcycles, and board their allotted LCI(S)s.
II. Their cheerful expressions signalling the end of a long period of waiting and uncertainty, heavily-laden commandos file along a wooden jetty at Warsash and board their allotted LCI(S)s moored in groups near the mouth of the Hamble.
