VJ Day, or Victory over Japan Day, on 15 August 1945, marked the day Japan publicly announced its surrender and the official end of the Second World War. The Allied victory was celebrated across the world in August and September 1945 and this showreel includes footage of the massed celebrations in London and Sydney on VJ Day and later Victory over Japan parades in Toronto and Hong Kong.
