Senior Film Curator Jane Fish's topical archive highlight this month is a newsreel trailer on fuel saving which advocates keeping warm by being “Cosy in the Kitchen”. During the Second World War the British Government encouraged the public to save fuel for the war effort.
The Ministry of Information produced short films to be shown with newsreels to support this campaign.
