Summary: Seventh in a series of radio location training films describes surface and anti-aircraft detection in a PB Class cruiser.
Description: (Reel 1) Use of 273 for detection of ships as far away as the horizon, and of 284 as a rangefinder for guns. If the range is too great for the 284, the 273 can be used for rangefinding (using the L.18 panel). Some good shots of radar and gun crews at work. (Reel 2) 'Reconstruction' of the detection, pursuit, attack with guns and torpedoes of a German cruiser named as the Leipzig (see remarks). Good scenes on the bridge and ops room of the British cruiser, and in the gun turrets, and of torpedo preparation.
